Warhol was famous for his replications but we live in a new age, replicating became different and the faces, models, topics need an update. This is a study, combining Andy Warhol's idea with a new face: Augusta Alexander, a famous model from Austria.
I am very inspired by the contradictions of this photo, Augusta is kind of a muse: very handsome and at the same time crying in this picture. Sadness and its beautful side always fascinated me.
The artwork is a collage made of paper, a printed photo and spray paint. Plus this work is covered with a thin layer of epoxy resin. As a result, the work shines, is a tone darker and much more durable.
IMPORTANT: None of my artwork is perfect, they are organic, there are drops of paint, tears in the paper, waves, glue residues. They are original!
