Roland Kaiser

Born in 1962 in Pulheim, Cologne- area, Germany. Especially since a crucial time in hospital in my early youth I felt the need expressing myself via drawing and painting and developed it further.

In 1979 moved to Cologne - the big city In order to be authentic and also to show aspects of sustanibiity, my works show visible traces of an engagement with my vision of the finished work, my own life and the mostly used material that I process and that seems new and fresh at the same time, as it were reborn.

Geboren 1962 in Pulheim, Raum Köln, Deutschland. Besonders seit einer entscheidenden Zeit im Krankenhaus in meiner frühen Jugend verspürte ich das Bedürfnis, mich durch Zeichnen und Malen auszudrücken, und entwickelte es weiter.

1979 Umzug nach Köln – der großen Stadt. Um authentisch zu sein und auch Aspekte der Nachhaltigkeit aufzuzeigen, zeigen meine Arbeiten sichtbare Spuren einer Auseinandersetzung mit meiner Vision vom fertigen Werk, meinem eigenen Leben und dem meist verwendeten Material, das ich verarbeite und das gleichzeitig neu und frisch wirkt , sozusagen wiedergeboren.

Invention of the Recycling-Art-Concept, which basically is founded on the principle to use only used and found material for creating art and developing it to a better self - looking and feeling brand new.

Erfindung des Recycling-Kunst-Konzepts, das im Wesentlichen auf dem Prinzip basiert, nur gebrauchtes und gefundenes Material für die Schaffung von Kunst zu verwenden und es zu einem besseren Selbst zu entwickeln und dabei wie neu auszusehen und sich wie neu anzufühlen.

Dr. Carmela Loiacono, Art Historian and Independent Curator, Italy wrote about Roland's artworks in 2025 after analyzing his biography and all artworks, that she - according to the historical-artistic criteria of quality, originality and uniqueness of the works - is more than glad to present his ART_ViDEO: offTheWaters-THE.GREAT.FLOOD during the exhibition NATURAL FLOW in Matera, Italy.

Dr. Carmela Loiacono, Kunsthistorikerin und unabhängige Kuratorin aus Italien, schrieb 2025 über Rolands Kunstwerke, nachdem sie seine Biografie und alle Kunstwerke analysiert hatte, dass sie – gemäß den historisch-künstlerischen Kriterien der Qualität, Originalität und Einzigartigkeit der Werke – mehr als erfreut ist, sein ART_ViDEO: offTheWaters-THE.GREAT.FLOOD während der Ausstellung NATURAL FLOW in Matera, Italien, zu präsentieren.

Dr. Erich Franz, former deputy artistic director of the Westphalian State Museum for Art and Cultural History in Münster, wrote about Rolands artworks in 1996 said, that he liked them and stated that they are… put together carefully and do so also in leading to different moments of stability and movement. Also the clashes of colors are not without a silent form of energy.

Dr. Erich Franz, ehemaliger stellvertretender künstlerischer Leiter des Westfälischen Landesmuseums für Kunst und Kulturgeschichte in Münster, schrieb 1996 über Rolands Kunstwerke und stellte fest, dass sie ihm gefielen…sorgfältig zusammengestellt und dabei auch zu unterschiedlichen Momenten von Stabilität und Bewegung führen. Auch das Aufeinandertreffen der Farben ist nicht ohne eine stille Form von Energie.

I am a german artist, who brings life to abandoned, neglected everyday items by re-purposing them into contemporary works of art. I show responsibility for dealing with ressources, by using recycled material for my art and bring them to new life.

Ich bin ein deutscher Künstler, der Verantwortung für sein Material übernimmt und gebrauchten, vernachlässigten Materialien neues Leben einhaucht, indem er sie in zeitgenössische Kunstwerke verwandelt.
