Man and his nature are the favorite themes of the painter Irena Prochazkova, who before being a storyteller of images is above all the creator of a color scheme, whose expressiveness becomes narrative concretely anchored to a fully recognizable reality. The tase for the image is combined in this artist with a pictorial culture that can be combined with the twentieth-century experiments of surrealism and post-impressionism. Its specificity is highlighted in a sign scaffolding that completely exhausts the space of the canvas, where a complete and well-balanced narration takes place.
Her primary quality lies in being able to write down situations that escape us from the less attentive gaze, or to the particular situations that we experience every day. The painter looks and resumes everyday life with the taste of counterpoints, carefully defining the relationship between the figures and the space. The pictorial trait does not play on precision but on allusiveness and defines the physiognomies thanks to a play of chromatic impressions and incisive signs.
